Finally Completed this majestic work of art after 2 weeks. My first ever spacescape made in Photoshop CS3 Extended.
First and foremost credit to Burning-Liquid for the planet resource.
This took a total over 100+ layers and makes my computer lag to high hell when I try to do the simplest things. I spent a lot of time on the planet and getting the color I wanted. I am absolutely satisfied with the nebula and spacescape for my first attempt. I was inspired by many things while browsing DA and learning technique's from other artists.
Please leave comments and check out my gallery for my digital art.
Well done! , unfortunately i am not a digitial artist so i dunno how much in terms of advanced critiquing.
But i loved detail you put into this art, definely i have to agree on you with the nebula the cloudy effect and the stars (including the brightly shining stars), the space around the planet no doubt breathtaking (and the fact your saying its your first attempt at it, your definely on your way of getting it mastered).
The contrasting gives so much depth to the digital art, i like
Hmmm... the nebula looks really realistic! I find it to my liking. The only thing that tickles me a bit is that I think the outer glow of the planet is a little wider than it should be.

the nebula looks friggin awesome, asteroids are way cool and great use of colors !
I agree with ~EliteSniper177, the planet's glow needs some work, also i think u need to create a slightly bigger starfield. The dark spots are .. not "empty", but could be a little fuller.. if u know what i'm talking about. But i love the picture, its awesome !

The photonotes.org Dictionary of Film and Digital Photography is one place to stop and get it all answered. This is quite a valuable resource that explains in depth what a photography term means, and will help those understand who might not know what something is.
